Would it be to wet in Singapore in November to visit?

We are planning a holiday to Phuket for November with a 3 day stop-over in Singapore. Now I just found out it will be the raining season in Singapore. Will it be to wet and would it be wiser to have a stop-over in bangkok maybe?

It is supposed to be the wetter month, but you don’t have to worry much as we have lots iof indoor activityies as well. 3 days maybe a little too short for a more enjoyable holiday here.

As for Bangkok, I would suggest that you do a stop over there. I am suggesting this because of the prevailing restive situation – especially so when they are talking about a “possible December election” among a host of others such as terrorists etc.

Generally people in Thailand are very friendly, but you never know what is behind the face/s when people could make major decisions “U-turned” within hours. (No offence meant against the Thais, but facts remain as facts).

If you intend to visit the beaches, don’t come to Singapore. However, Singapore’s beaches aren’t nice so you might want to come here just for leisure, shopping, eating, visiting museum and all.. Which are mostly indoors. Though Singapore is “wet” we have shelters and all, which shouldn’t be too much of a problem

Well, it will be wet in Singapore during November, but it will be wetter in Bangkok. The monsoons will hit the southeast asian region generally, depending on the wind directions.

Also consider that Bangkok is going for general elections during that period of time (think its going to be in October). Not sure what the ramifications are for Bangkok?

The wetter month for Singapore would be December rather than November. But we don’t really experience rain for consecutive days, only on some occasions …
